Sydney is the capital city and most populous city in the state of New South Wales, Australia and Oceania.
Sydney enhanced its position as an education capital of the Western Pacific during the postwar period. In 1967, Australia Square Tower was constructed and became a city landmark, surpassed in 1981 by Sydney Tower as the tallest building in the city.

REDFERN STATION
1953 – 2024
THEN : 38 Class Steam Locomotive 3811 accelerating the Newcastle Express through Redfern, on its way to Newcastle, non stop.
NOW: The brand new Mariyung Train accelerating through Redfern on its way to Newcastle Interchange.
The newly introduced Mariyung Trains will replace the Interurban Sets that service the Newcastle, Central Coast, Blue Mountains and Illawarra lines.
Then photo taken from the original overhead walkway, about 100 metres south of the present one.
Notice how the Redfern ticket office is black with soot in the THEN photo.

Pitt Street Sydney in 1954 and in 2024. It appears that they didn’t really need to close this section to vehicular traffic in 1987 to make it a pedestrian mall.

The opening of Como railway bridge in 1885 saw an influx of day-trippers, keen to explore the Georges River and its environs. Today, trains travel along the adjacent bridge, built in 1972, while pedestrians, cyclists, and a water pipeline cross on the original. Boat hire is still available at the marina.

Callan Park, Lilyfield.
One of the stone buildings facing the outer perimeter of the complex, the courtyards inside are inaccessible at this time and the gates are locked.
I think there are plans for refurbishment of the precinct so we wait and see.
(my photo is taken through a cyclone wire fence.)
The structure at the front of the earlier photo is a doorway cut into the stone fence with steps behind it with the railing shadows on them.

The tram in the top photo, is approaching Stanley St. The building in the middle of the new photo, is aged care service. Most of buildings visible in the top photo is still there, now the view is obscured by the trees.
